What's wrong with capstone

Capstone would have to be the most confusing class that I have ever had to take. first of all, the fact that we have to switch topics because another professor's opinion differs from our original one. I wanted to research a topic that meant something to me, yet my professor opposed the idea because it was not "local." I understand the fact that it will help if it is local, however if I'm going to write over 15 pages of research paper, can I at least do it on something that I am passionate about, in a place that once was the world to me? I just have a hard problem understanding the whole system the high school follows. We are required to do well in classes, apply to colleges, make over 12,000,000 in scholarships...yet we have to spend a ridiculous amount of time researching a topic that will have no relevance to our academic achievement. At some point I felt like I had to just pack my clothe and move to Richland since I spend so much time on campus. I just don't get it, I guess capstone will be one of this things that you just never question and just suffer through. Last semester I would spend hours studying for my Pre-Cal class, reading pages for psychology,  and then there was Biology. Biology with a professor that hated the highschool students and did everything possible to make our lives miserable, just to prove us that the medical field was no joke. Meaning, last semester was hell and trying to make straight A's was impossible. I would spend the whole night doing math homework and memorizing for Biology, then at 4  in the morning, I would be stuck writing literature reviews, long tedious reviews. Then three later when your solution gets denied. Moreover. when you get a paper telling you to find a disease in that area and find a cure for it...it makes you wonder if the world is revolving right.Anyways, now that everything is shot down... I have no idea WHERE to go.

  1. The chaos that is capstone makes me angry and sad. I am sorry that it is going down this way.
